Dear Bosswerk team,
Guten Morgen,Recently i noticed a user in "Photovoltaik-Forum" wants to connect 2 - 3 solar panels in parallel to an EVT248.
I got reply from our tech team:
- it’s technically workable, and our inverter will not break.
- the warranty of microinverter would still be 25 years.
But if connect with 2 panels in one EVT248 have some disadvantages:
• Two panels in parallel means there are two MPPT points inverter has to track. However, EVT248 cannot track two MPPT points at the same time, So EVT248 might goes into an unstable state, working normally for a while and even stopped working for a while due to MPPT Malfunction. The efficiency of both panels we cannot guarantee to reaches the highest.
• What’s more, Even though it can work, like in the afternoon, the efficiency and power of two panels will all be wasted.
Also I noticed some customers mentioned EVT248 is too “warm”,
Actually EVT can work in the environment temperature up to 65℃. and internal temperature up to 105℃. so customers don't need to worry about the“warm”problem:-)
Wish you have a nice day.
